Colwyn Bay 8 v Llandudno 26

After a Christmas break, both teams locked horns in a local Derby. The home side
opened the scoring after ten minutes of play with a converted penalty, after the
referee had penalised Llan six times during this period of play. Llan always
held the upper hand during this encounter, keeping the home side on the defence,
and they pinned them back within there own half, and the pressure told with
Cameron Davies getting there first points with a touch down, which Ryan Pike
converted. They continued to push for more points for a long period, and just
before the half time whistle that Dave Davies touched down for a try, with two
more points being added by Ryan Pike with the conversion.Llan at times to
struggled to find there top form making to many mistakes, however when they did
they sealed this derby win in the second half. A telling break from within his
own half by Hugh Griffith taking play up to the home try line, that Ed Weston
was in support to touch down for a try, with Pike adding two more points with
the conversion. The match and bonus points were  sealed when from a scrum on the
Bay try, that the Llan pack pushed them over the try line for Kelvin Davies to
score the final try of this local derby. Llan played well below there best, but
the result gave them a home and away win over there local opponents. The Bay
did manage to score a breakaway try during this half. Man of the Match Morgan
Owen. Llandudno v Pwllheli next week is postponed, due to Pwllheli playing a cup
match. Next match is on 13th Jan away to Llangefni.  Match report by Howie,
