We are all conscious that the walls of the club are a little bare at present following the removal of pictures before all the work of decorating and refurbishment was started.
As a committee we are acutely aware that we need to rearrange and update the memorabilia, pictures and shirts that we have on display.
We have therefore requested that a team of a few senior members of the club start re-arranging the cabinets and make the displays more eye catching and interesting and show some items that are more recent and not displayed before.
Many of the previous pictures that were on show were damaged and faded and they will need to be re-framed and new notices put on them, so please bear with us as this is going to take a little time. However please be assured that we are working on it.
We will also create new Pages on our website with old pictures and articles.
As part of reviewing what we have on display, it was noted that the Memorial Cabinet with pictures of players and members that are no longer with us had been affected by years on display and the pictures and notices had become faded and were not fully respectful of these past friends.
After long deliberation it was agreed by the committee that the items and pictures be removed from the cabinet and, in line with that seen in other clubs, we will scan the pictures and narrative into a Memorial page on our website in permanent and appropriate memory of these members.
